As the drug supply is unregulated and unpredictable, New York's Community Drug Checking Service offers people who use drugs timely and detailed information on the contents of their drugs, helping them to make more informed decisions.

Information being entered will be used to help inform harm reduction agencies and public health authorities about local trends on New York's unregulated drug supply. This in turn can lead to better-informed public health and public safety policies, advocacy research and responses.
